About the Event

2 Speakers: Deqa Yusuf and Aden Ali

Deqa is a K-12 licensed multilingual teacher with a master’s degree in teaching English as a Second Language and 10+ years of experience educating students in local public and international private schools. A flexible educator, fluent in both Somali and English, who loves language and other cultures and consistently builds relationships with students, families, and staff. Currently, attending Saint Thomas University as a Doctoral student in Educational Leadership Program. Additionally, currently working as a general education social worker in middle school setting. Dedicated to the creation of opportunities for students and their families.

Aden Ali was born in Shalaanbood, Somalia and raised in Mogadishu, Somalia. He got a polio when he was a two years old. Before he finished his high school, he moved to Kenya as a refugee. When he finished then he moved to USA. He got his AA Degree from…
